David H. Spielberg was born and raised in New York City. He received his doctorate degree in physics in 1970 from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. After graduating, he worked as a research scientist in the petrochemical industry and as a project manager in the air pollution control industry. more
David H. Spielberg was born and raised in New York City. He received his doctorate degree in physics in 1970 from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. After graduating, he worked as a research scientist in the petrochemical industry and as a project manager in the air pollution control industry.
He has also been director of operations for a mail-order fulfillment company, a contract real estate appraiser, and a branch manager for Connecticut National Bank. Dr. Spielberg was the president of his own consulting firm specializing in systems analysis and business planning.
David Spielberg was for several years a commentator for National Public Radio (WHQR), a columnist for the New Haven Register, and editor/publisher of a South Florida quarterly poetry magazine. He taught as adjunct faculty for Southern Connecticut State University, the University of New Haven Graduate School of Industrial Engineering and Computer Science, and at Queens College of the City University of New York.
David has published seven books on Amazon, four of which are fiction (On Deception Watch, On Vestige Way, On Good Terms With Gaia,and My First Life); one is a collection of his NPR commentaries (Off the Top of My Head); one is a journaling how-to book for high school students (How to Learning Journal), and one is a collection of his poetry (Hard Times). He has also contributed numerous published opinion pieces to the Palm Beach Post. Dr. Spielberg is now working on the fifth novel about a global warming survival community in Brazil. He has given invited presentations to the public on his global warming cli-fi novels.
Dr. Spielberg has widely traveled in the United States, Denmark, Mexico, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Lithuania, Turkey, India, and Israel. He now resides in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, with his wife.
