Donna W. Hill is an author, singer-songwriter and avid knitter. The Hills live in Pennsylvania's Endless Mountains with Donna’s guide dog Mo and Goofus, their rescued kitty. Hill, the first legally blind student mainstreamed in her local public schools, earned a BA in English Literature from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.
As a Philadelphia street performer for over a decade, she presented school assemblies, garnered considerable media attention and self-produced three recordings. As a talk-show-host for the Radio Information Center for the Blind, her interviews included celebrities like the late blind guitarist Doc Watson. Her coverage of the Carter inauguration marked the first time national press credentials were awarded to a blind reporter representing a radio station for the blind.
