Ed is a legally blind disabled veteran. He was raised in the Lowcountry of South Carolina but lived many places around the U.S., both as a military dependent and as an active duty member of the Air Force. After leaving the military at age 29, he returned to school, eventually earning a Masters of Divinity degree.
Ed spent twelve years as a VA Chaplain (2003-2015), specializing in palliative care and mental health. One of his greatest accomplishments was, during the last eight years, co-developing and conducting marriage enrichment retreats for veterans that would eventually become a national VA program. Additionally, in 2013 he enrolled in a Doctoral program in Pastoral Counseling but decided not to complete as it was time to move on to greater things. In May of 2015 Ed returned home to Charleston to fulfill his dream of becoming a novelist. Living Waters is his first work. Enjoy the read!
