Elizabeth Scott,a Maine native,graduate of Florida Baptist College,volunteer missionary, extensive traveler,and a certified clown,now resides in Texas. She has written a collection of poems. One poem, for which she received the Publisher's Choice Award in 1993, was published in Distinguished Poets of America. She has two published children's books in a series about Mama Scottie and the Kids."Adventures with Mama Scottie and the Kids",published in 2008,was featured at the Texas State Library Association Conference in Houston,Texas in April 2009. "It's Rodeo Time!" was released in August 2009. "Christmas Tree" is a true stoy about the author as she grew up in rural Maine. Mrs Scott is currently writing her autobiography as well as two more stories in the Mama Scottie series. She and Mrs Jackson are developing a book about a soldier stationed in Iraq. About the Illustrator; Kay Whytock Jackson, also a Maine native, is a graduate of University of Maine @ Farmington. She holds copyrights to "My roots Are In Maine!" and "This Little Sprout has Roots in Maine!". She has also illustrated the Mama Scottie series of children's books written by Elizabeth Scott. Mrs Jackson and Mrs Scott have been working together as author and illustrator for several years. Mrs Jackson has a strong interest in the arts and her artistic abilities shine forth in her illustrations and designs. She resides with her family in western Maine.
