At age ten, Greg Morton was a television actor, appearing in a number of commercial advertisements for such companies as Texas Instruments, McDonald's, Mattel, Friendly's Ice Cream and Van de Kamps. In 1985, Greg appeared with Shirley Jones and Len Cariou in the Emmy nominated, made for television movie There Were Times, Dear. He was also featured in all four seasons (1983-1987) of the Emmy Award winning CBS hit Scarecrow and Mrs. King, as Kate Jackson's youngest son Jamie. The show also featured the legendary Beverly Garland (My Three Sons, Lois & Clark), longtime Hollywood leading man Bruce Boxleitner (Tron, Babylon 5), the beautiful and funny Martha Smith (Animal House), longtime character actor Mel Stewart, and Young Artist Award nominee Paul Stout.

Greg released his first novel to rave reviews, the action packed The Fury of the Bear, in 2010. The novel is the first to feature Virgil "Bear" Ryan and his mountain rescue team. In the book, Bear Ryan is hired to salvage a plane crash high in the Andes Mountains that holds the clues to finding a century's old Incan treasure, and discovers he isn't the only one trying to uncover the mystery. In 2011, Greg released the exciting conclusion to the story with the sequel To Catch a Fox. Also in 2011, Greg published the untitled poems, a deeply personal collection of poems and photography. In 2012, Greg released the autobiographical Lifting a Foot Forward: A Lesson in Balance. The book follows Greg's life from his early days as a child actor to his introduction to poetry and writing, his experiences as an athlete to his life as a business professional. He recalls the special moments in his life that lead up to the ultimate life-changing event; his having to be airlifted off of a mountainside while alpine climbing in January 2008. His memoir takes readers on the journey that became the catalyst to following his dreams and living a balanced life. In the fall of 2012 Greg released his much anticipated A House in a Field of Reeds. The collection of short stories highlights each season of the year, taking a whimsical look at the world of fantasy and adventure. A House in a Field of Reeds is a look back to the classics of folk lore and fairy tales, a perfect opportunity to gather the whole family and discover the adventures together.
