A native of Boston, J. F. Dargon is a Phi Alpha Theta graduate of the University of Massachusetts/Dartmouth and a Navy veteran. As a young student of history, he lived in close proximity to the historic Shirley-Eustis Mansion in the Roxbury section of Boston. It was from that historic structure that he developed his ideas for Josiah Ironknife: Colonial Warrior. He spent much of his youth walking the Freedom Trail, climbing the Bunker Hill Monument, and visiting Boston’s museums and public library. Today, he lives on Cape Cod with his wife and children. His other works include: Beetle and Lady Bug, Cold Valentine, Carry Me!, Private Revolution, Rough Hurech: Adventurer, and he is currently writing a history.
