Jacy Sellers was born and raised in Fairfax County, Virginia, but has lived in South Carolina for more than twenty years. She has a B.A. in English from Coastal Carolina University and a master’s in Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Denver. As a former journalist and editor, she has published numerous articles, press releases, newsletters, blogs, and stories. She currently works in healthcare.
In college, she gained an interest in Carolina ghost stories, which fuels her writing inspiration. She’s a huge fan of boiled peanuts, craft beer, and pimento cheese sandwiches. When she’s not losing herself in writing, she’s purposely getting lost inside a thrift store or bookstore. She grew up reading Stephen King, Edgar Allen Poe, and Anne McCaffrey. Jacy lives in South Carolina with her husband, two kids, and an overly social cat.
She’s president of the Queen City Suspects chapter of Sisters in Crime and represented by Jana Hanson of the Metamorphosis Literary Agency.
