I am an artist, filmmaker and writer. My formal training is in painting having earned an MFA in Painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Today I work in digital media marketing limited edition prints of my digital paintings at art venues, galleries and museums in the midwest and Florida, including my own gallery, the LebenArt Gallery in Douglas, Michigan. Inspired by the digital paintings I've been doing for the past ten years on environmental themes, I wrote "Amy and the Tortoise", an apocalyptic fable for kids about global warming and illustrated it with versions of my digital paintings. Before publishing the book, I produced a 15-minute movie of the same title which is included in the book with a QR code link.
