Kay Castaneda is a composition instructor for first-year college students and a Special Education tutor. Her articles have been published in Sage Publication’s Education and Society Encyclopedia, and her poetry has appeared in literary journals. She was awarded a scholarship to Summer Literary Seminar in Vilnius, Lithuania. Kay attended a writing workshop at University of Edinburgh, Scotland and a writer’s residency in San Miguel Allende, Mexico. Her novel, Emmie of Indianapolis, was recently published. Kay is currently researching the history of Ireland and Scotland for a novel about female saints, in addition to editing a poetry manuscript. She lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with her husband and son. Kay’s hobbies include reading biographies and memoirs and collecting antique cookbooks.
