A voracious reader from the age of four, I've shaped my world through reading. It is my strength... my vision to seek and receive from others ultimate fulfillment through the written word. As a descendant of those who value education and writing- including W.W. Peyton and Melba Pattillo Beals- I understand the importance of accuracy in true memoirs and historical non- fiction writing.
A mid-career change to high school history teacher, led to my first two novels, "Milcreek Pond" and "Indigo Sky." The joy of researching and writing these historical fiction books turned into my own personal journey of self-discovery, and then completion of the memoir "Alex's Eyes." Within this most recent novel; this teacher, wife, mother, grandmother, and unknown author's goal is to share my ancestor's life struggle with all who value truth, justice, and family.
