L.S. Larson grew up in Washington State on the Olympic Peninsula in the small town of Forks (known for Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series). He attended University of Arizona on an NROTC scholarship and graduated with honors. He then served as a Marine infantry officer and deployed to Ramadi, Iraq in 2005 and then again in 2007. He was awarded the Bronze Star with V for valor on his first tour. After the Marines, L.S. wrote his first book: Senator’s Son: An Iraq War Novel. It was highlighted by Thomas Ricks of Foreign Policy as "The best Iraq War novel yet.”
After becoming a father of three daughters, Kendall, Kaylee (known as KK) and London, L.S., having been inspired by the Tom Swift series as a young boy, set out to write a new sci-fi series that would not only be entertaining and fun but also show his three daughters and hopefully more young women that they can be a great inventor and make a massive impact. L.S. now leads the IGIST team on our mission to inspire the innovators of tomorrow to build a better future.
With his wife and three daughters, L.S. splits his time between Scottsdale, Arizona and Bainbridge Island, Washington.
