Marjorie Balgooyen Drysdale is a classical soprano, music teacher, conductor, and journalist. "Tagalong Kid" is her first book, a joyful memoir of her childhood days spent in Katonah, NY. There, she tagged along with her older brothers on a series of risky and imaginative adventures. The story takes place in the 1950's, when children played outside, creating their own amusements.
Drysdale now lives in Vermont with her husband, M. Dickey Drysdale, in a town reminiscent of the Katonah of her youth. They have two grown sons.
