Marlene Rose-Clarke was born in Kingston, Jamaica. She came to the U.S at the age of ten to live in Connecticut. She is a graduate of Howard University and Fairfield Univeristy with a degree in Business and a masters in Communications. A corporate professional for thirty years, she has worked in a variety of industries including, advertising, insurance and hospitality. She loves travelling, writing, and jewelry designing. She resides in Connecticut with her husband of twenty five years, her daughter and teenage son. She has travelled to many countries in Europe, the Caribbean, South and Central America. Her thesis, Jamaican immigrants: perceptions of work, education and cultural adaptation is published in the Fairfield University library.
