Mary Brown grew up in Port Townsend, Washington, about two hours from Seattle on Washington State’s Olympic Peninsula, visiting the city regularly while in growing up in the 1980s and 1990s. She graduated from the University of Washington in 2001. Mary has also lived in Paris, Rome, Thailand, Washington D.C., and New York City. She currently makes a home in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the home of two used bookstores, The Old Library Shop and Need for Read Books, and the world’s oldest bookstore, Moravian Bookstore. Mary enjoys spending time with her son, gardening, reading, traveling, and running.
