M.G. Alonzo Cortés is a writer and illustrator born in Honduras. Her love of nature, animals, and Honduras inspired her to write and illustrate the "Adventure in Pico Bonito" books to introduce children everywhere to some of the fascinating creatures found in her native country. Through her story-telling, she also encourages children everywhere to adopt practices to protect the environment and endangered species. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with honors from Michigan State University.
