Mitchell Stokely is a new fantasy author and single father who resides in Euless, Texas with his son Simon. He started writing the Phantammeron in 1989 while researching mythology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. The Phantammeron series took shape in the late 1980's after the author began reviewing Indo-European Mythology, philology, art, Celtic studies, languages, and the work of Joseph Campbell. Reading ancient works, such as the Irish lebor gabála érenn, the Welsh Mabinogian, the Saxon Beowulf, the Finlandish Kalevala, and others formed the inspiration for his own massive Western European fairy tale comprising up to 12 large volumes. The first Phantammeron book forms the "Creation Myth" that leads into the deeper Mythopoeia that fills the series. Its taken 25 years to evolve the stories and the author is now proud to present them in a continuing series the next few years.
