When I'm not writing, I'm a reference and instruction librarian at the University of Minnesota, Morris, a small college in Minnesota. I'm the author of almost a dozen published professional articles, none of which feature dragons or unicorns or impossibly tall trees. I live with my wife and furry dog in a very small town and believe that the world, on average, is a far better place with more nature in it, not less.
I enjoy biking, playing tennis, hiking, playing board games (you can never have too many), reading, and pretending I can make music.
The two most influential books in my life have been The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant by Stephen R Donaldson and Childhood's End by Arthur C Clarke.
