I just published my first book, "A Change of Consciousness, a Hippie's Memoir of the Sixties and Beyond". I was born and raised in Danville, Il. I got a B.A. in English from Stanford in 1972 after helping found the first modern co-ed co-op house and being a leading Deadhead. I got a J.D. from the University of New Mexico in 1976 while living in a mountain commune and defeating the Forest Service's attempt to stop skinny-dipping in Spence Springs.. After a Teaching Fellowship in Public Lands Law at Northwestern Law School at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon I worked for the Environmental Protection Service of the State of Israel in Jerusalem and climbed Mt. Sinai at dawn. I then practiced law in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Las Cruces, New Mexico. I helped to save the sacred lands of Jemez pueblo from a rapacious corporation and sufi danced with Ram Dass at Lama Foundation. All of the above and more is in my memoirs. I am now retired and working on a novel..
