Retired in western North Carolina, he writes eclectic fiction in several genres (fantasy, science fiction, mystery), judges fiction for the Hoffer Book Awards, and is active in several writing/author groups (Blue Ridge Writers Group, Appalachian Roundtable, and N.C. Writers Network).
The author studied fiction writing at Longridge Writers Group, Writers Digest Online, and The Great Smokies Writing Program of the University of North Carolina, Asheville. Several fantasy short stories, an essay, and short biographies have been published. The science fiction short “Soul Snatch” received an honorable mention in the 2003 Writers Digest competition and has been published. His short play “Wee White Critters” was performed at the White Squirrel Festival in Brevard, NC in 2005 and 2007.
His epic YA fantasy novel Justi the Gifted was published in 2015 by Leo Publishing and the mystery The Clown Forest Murders co-written with A.C. Brooks was released by Black Opal Books in 2017. A SciFi novel is seeking a publisher and a follow-up to Justi the Gifted is in the works. Bob maintains author pages on Amazon, Facebook, and Goodreads.
