Robert is the 2005 Watermelon Seed Spitting Arkansas State Champion with a winning effort of 29 and a half feet. Robert credits his height (he's 6'5"), arcing ability, and a modest gust of wind. After winning his inaugural contest, Robert immediately retired from the sport in his words, "to give the younger contestants a shot at glory."
In 2012, Robert was on the Jeopardy! television game show where he correctly answered lots of questions about aviation as well as a 'true' Daily Double, but incorrectly answered enough questions about ballet and fancy dogs to cost him the game.
