Sheri-Lynn Kenny was born and raised in White River, Ontario. She grew up with three sisters and they always had a family pet. Sheri-Lynn Kenny was born and raised in White River, Ontario. She grew up with three sisters and they always had a family pet. She won a writing award at Michipicoten High School graduation for best senior essay and she has been writing ever since. Sheri-Lynn entered the Canadian Forces in June 1992. She attended Royal Roads Military College in Victoria, BC and completed her degree at Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, ON. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology. During her 17 years with the Canadian Forces, Sheri-Lynn has worked as a Naval Officer on four different warships, completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from University of Manitoba, worked as an Education and Training Specialist, and completed her Master’s Degree in Adult and Distance Education from the University of Phoenix. After departing the military in 2009, Sheri-Lynn went back to school to complete Teacher’s College at Lakehead University in Orillia, ON. After graduating, she moved to Parrsboro, NS with her husband and ten rescue cats. Sheri-Lynn taught as a substitute teacher at several schools in Cumberland Regional County. With a passion for drawing and painting, coupled with a love of writing, Sheri-Lynn began to compose several children’s books. Her first two books: Battle at Bogs Hollow, and The Kitchen of Many Colours were published by Xlibris in the fall of 2014. She then completed three additional books: The Alphabet According to Dewey; Counting Kittens, and The Adventures of Digbee: Have You Seen My Touque? Which were published in 2015 by Art Bookbindary in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Sheri-Lynn’s books are Mom’s Choice silver award recipients, and Canada Book Award winners. She is currently working on two new books.
