Author of Winter In The City Of Light: A search for self in retirement - a memoir about what happens when the sugar rush of retirement crashes into a panic of “Oh-oh, what now?”
Until Sue Harper retired in 2006, she was a teacher and writer. But with retirement, she became a senior nomad, living in two hemispheres and traveling where and when she could. Post-work life was something she thought she had perfected until it fell apart. Harper returned to school at age 62 to do a Masters of Fine Arts in creative non-fiction. After completing her memoir, she started on her next project, a series of books published by Rocky Mountain Books aimed at helping children find wonder in local museums.
In a previous life, she taught motorcycling and skiing, studied psychology and English literature at the University of Toronto and graduated with a master’s degree in English language and literature from the University of Guelph.
Sue will attend book club meetings for those clubs discussing her book via Skype or Facebook chat. Contact her at https://www.facebook.com/Winter-in-the-City-of-Light-A-search-for-self-in-retirement-327770474573071/?modal=admin_todo_tour
