As a child, author Teresa Schapansky spent days on end reading fantasy and fairy tale stories. Back then, she never dreamt she’d actually write one. Her inspiration came much later in the form of her daughters, whom she names as co-conspirators in the writing of her first two novels. Her first novel, "Imogene of the Pacific Kingdom" opened a few doors for the author. Radio and television interviews, school visits, library visits, a stint freelance reporting for a local newspaper, until the author's second book, "Dager of the Tasman Empire" found its way to the surface. The author has since joined forces with Bob Winterford, Eye Wonder Studios Inc. and together, they have created the 12 book Along the Way series for younger children.
