Author Bio - Terry Bushey
Terry Bushey finds inspiration to write from her own sweet Pit Bull, Pearl and has been involved in the betterment of dog and animal treatment for years through animal law classes, therapy dog training, reading, and rescue dog groups.
When she is not writing children's books, Terry enjoys bike riding, dog walking, training, and of course, playing with dogs. Working to get petitions signed for improved care in factory farms is something that is dear to her. Terry likes to fight for the underdogs who have no voice, such as mistreated and neglected animals.
By sharing Pearl's story, Terry hopes that readers learn not to judge people--or animals --by how they look, to stand up to bullies, and to be brave and strong. She is married and lives in Schenectady, New York, with her three children and two dogs: a Pit Bull, Pearl, and Sandy, a German shepherd. This is her first children's book.
