I'm a grateful recovering alcoholic and addict with long term sobriety. I had wanted to write a book since I was a little kid, but I started drinking and drugging in my mid teens, and for the next twenty five years writing was the furthest thing from my mind. After I stopped using in 1992 I had a lot of work I needed to do on myself, and I needed to hit a lot of AA meetings, try to rebuild a broken career, and re-establish many broken relationships. Finally, in 2016, the urge to write overcame me, and I sat down and little by slow wrote my story. It was the best thing I've done for my sobriety, and I'm grateful to have the opportunity to tell it in hopes that it might encourage other recovering people to shoot for the stars, because we have been given a wonderful reprieve, and we must pass it on.
