William Gorman grew up listening to ghost stories and dark fantastical yarns from his grandfather—a magician and former ‘mentalist’ during the last great, fading days of vaudeville—told to him in porch shadows on warm Illinois summer eves. His first book, a collection of local myths and legends titled GHOST WHISPERS, was published in 2005 and spawned the popular Haunted Rockford tours and cemetery walks now operating in his hometown. In his spare time he hangs around with German shepherds and listens to classic rock & roll, and enjoys rereading the old-school maestros of supernatural fiction he grew up on whenever he can. He now lives in Ohio, where he is at work on his next novel and a new collection of ghostly tales.
