I have always desired to spend more time with God and draw closer to Him, but I was always so encumbered and preoccupied by things going on in and around my life. We are surrounded by so many distractions, be it our jobs, school, family, television, radio, internet, twitter, Facebook, etc., the list goes on and on, so where do we have time to fit God in?
Well E.S. Coakley shares in her book, not just how to do that, but just how important and rewarding it is for us when we do. E. S. Coakley gives us deep insight and reveals how our lives and situations parallels the scriptures. I have never seen anyone explain the scriptures in such detail, with real life experiences that way E. S. Coakley does. There was one scripture that I could never figure out and when E. S. Coakley explained not only what it meant, but how it shadowed our relationship with the Lord, my only response, was…Wow, this makes sense, and I would have never put these pieces together. What a powerful revelation!

If you have ever longed for a closer relationship with the Lord, after reading “Intimacy with Jesus,” you will not only learn how to shut out the world’s distractions, and spend more time with the Lord, but you will feel as if you cannot get enough of Him and long for more and more of Him, as we should.
