Personas is the first of four in a series. In this first novel, our main character development is designed to establish the evolution of personality traits created by trauma. Our main character, Ian Trahan, is a science prodigy with a high functioning form of autism. He was brought up in a deep south environment of New Orleans Louisiana by a father who is heavily involved in politics and high society. His father, Dr. Xavier Trahan , a renown Psychiatrist, also has a very dark secret in the fact that he is, not only fixated with serial killers, but is also hiding sadistic parallels with them and writes many of them throughout the years querying details of their crimes for his own pleasure. Throughout the book many non-fictional truths about well known serial killers such as Ted Bundy, Richard Ramirez and Jeffrey Dahmer, are implemented for the plot in which Ian Trahan mimics to a tee, in a murderous spree of retribution. In his years of planning the detailed copycat murders, he has created a way to, not only use the DNA taken from the envelopes and stamps of those who wrote his father, but he has also developed what would be a Nobel Prize Winning award of using plant mitochondria to literally grow DNA from those samples. When the crime spree begins and DNA is collected from the scenes, police are brought to their knees when each collection returns to the actual killer that has been duplicated. Deceased serial killers. The FBI's BAU division is brought in to assist with trying to put together this impossible puzzle. For obvious reasons, the top two agents, Nelson Satterlee and Magda Volkov, a native Russian, are immediately put on the case. Nelson, who is known for his razor sharp instincts and Magda who is a Clairvoyant, travel to each location to try and figure out a behavioral analysis of this psychopath. Both agents bring a talent to the table like no other. But when Nelson's arrogance and complete disbelief gets in the way of Magda's visions, she is put in the lead position. Her role in the story deepens as her character development ties into her own childhood trauma as it reveals an encounter with Andrei Chikitilo, a serial killer in the Ukraine during the 1980's. As the fifty-seven chapters unfold, bringing the reader into many thrilling, psychological twist and turns, the plot development and surprise ending will definitely have the reader wanting more.
