Another fantastical, time-travel adventure for Sammy Baker, a stand-alone sequel to The Magic Typewriter. This time it's 1960, and he's sitting next to the great Ted Williams in the Red Sox dugout. He's the team's batboy! His mission, assigned by his grandpa before he left on his magical journey, was to get an interview with Ted Williams, something his grandfather had never accomplished as a sports reporter for a New Hampshire newspaper. Sammy wonders how he'll ever get that interview, since he doesn't work for a newspaper. He's twelve years old!
