I really enjoyed this glimpse into your emotions during your teenage years. In some ways many of the poems remind me of my own journey. I would have to say that 'letting go' is my favorite poem in this book. I can tell that writing really helped you get through the day. I would recommend this book of poems to a teenage girl so she will know that it's ok to share your feelings and writing them down really helps us cope.
This book was gifted to me by the aithi when I needed it most. I was sick and read and reread all of the poems several times. I heard her speaking to me and reminding me that it is all going to be ok. I think she may be one of my favorites now!!!!
I really enjoy Laqueisha Malone poetry writing. Her poetry writing is short, personal, and your eyes are glued to every page. She is very passionate with every word that is placed on paper and I admire that about her. I recommend this book to anybody that loves poetry and if you don't love poetry You Will once you read "A Walk In My Shoes".
This is my first read by LaQueisha Malone and her poetry reminded me of when I was younger and going through some of the same things. I would write my feelings out through poetry about it. Definitely enjoyed them all!! Recommended!
Not a fan of poetry, but this one was really good. I miss you, that chapter was on point and the emotions flowed nicely throughout.
I don't have too much to say, like I said I'm not a huge fan of poetry, but I wanted to try something different. I'm glad I picked this book up as a first.
