ABUSE BEATEN From Victim to Victor
The woman in this story may sound like you. She married the man she loved. He married her for lust and control. She prayed for him to change. Yet the beatings continued until the eldest child screamed in fear. They were still remembered .Now the control shifted to verbal and emotional. She felt she was nothing. She still prayed to God for change. God didn’t change HIM, he changed HER. Her eyes were finally opened to the truth. Grieving, she left the marital home after suffering for thirty years. God took her on a journey of self-discovery. With Gods strength she forged a new life. With Gods Love she is now able to help others. LEARN SELF-HELP: Inspiration and Encouragement

5.0 out of 5 starsSr. Crystal Mary Never Fails to Touch My Heart!

October 10, 2017

Format: Kindle Edition

Cara's story is that of so many young women like her. As she searches for someone to love her, she also battles to live up to the expectations placed on her by her culture. I like that the book is set in the 1950s, so the abuse becomes even more intense, because there simply weren't the resources there are today to handle a situation like this. Still, the echoes of abused women through the ages sound their voices in this heart wrenching story.

Lindsey always manages to show Christ's redeeming love through each of her stories. This is one of my favorites of hers. I recommend it highly.
