I absolutely inhaled this book. When I got the notification from Amazon that my pre-order hit my kindle, and it being an unusually quiet night at work, I thought I'd get a few chapters in before my shift ended. Nope...I finished the whole book! I couldn't put it down, and I thought about the story my entire ride home until I could keep reading. I love stories like that!
This is the first book by new indie author NT Anderson. I first heard about this book from a Facebook reading group that follows indie authors on Twitter. It sounded interesting so I went ahead and pre-ordered it. I'm glad I did.
Anderson has a great writing style. I truly felt like she was sitting across the table from me telling a story.
I think many women will identify with this story. While I would never have the spunk that our main character Natalie has, I think this story is identifiable to a lot if women. I had an internet romance many years ago, and I'd be lying if I said that I've never wondered "what if? What if we met? What would it be like? Are they the person they presented themselves to be? Would they be the same in person that they seemed to be online?"
Natalie, our main character, puts herself out there in a big way and gets the answers to these questions. I found myself rooting for her immediately...while secretly being jealous of her confidence! I could never be that bold ...but I love it that she is!
J....what to say about J....he is smart and talented and sexy as hell...I just love his character.
There is graphic sex in this book...and it is hot AF. If you prefer your lady bits referred to as petals and blooms and your man parts described with weaponry-type euphemisms, this might not be the right story for you. The scenes are graphic but tasteful. You won't want your mom reading over your shoulder...but you might not mind if your partner does.
The only thing I wasn't prepared for...the story ends on a bit of a cliffhanger and you will definitely be anxiously wanting to dive into the next book in the series (this is the first of 3), but you will have to wait until book #2 comes out. I'm dying to know what happens next ...I hope I don't have to wait long!!
I loved this story, and I think you will too. Definitely give NT Anderson a try...I think you'll enjoy her! I can't wait to read more of her works in the future...especially this series.

This is such a unique book, it is written in first person and has a very interesting feel from the start. What would happen if we took a left instead of a right. Fell in love with another person. Or just made a small choice that was different. This story explores that what if, but goes farther and stands on the precipice. What if that person that we friended on Social media years ago and never met in person was our person. This takes us on an adventure to see the what if. I enjoyed this book. We all have that someone that we wonder about. That someone that we took the left with and not the right. This story is about the what if, and finding out what it could have been. It’s a romantic story with feels. This is a new author to me and I thought the writing style was intriguing and fresh.

Well written, great characters (and some very explicit scenes) round out this engaging romance from NT Anderson. If you're a fan of the genre, if you've ever wondered what might have happened with a crush you had a long time ago, I suggest you give it a read!
