Trooper Forrest Locke will do the unthinkable and trade logic for love. Entangled in a political conspiracy around the girl who picks up the pieces of his broken heart, he'll risk his career to expose the governor's manipulation of her research. He can't allow the corrupt family empire he left a decade ago destroy her dreams the way they destroyed his.

Great first book - loved the characters and plot! July 6, 2020

I loved this! This is Margaret Frank’s first book, so I am excited to see how her writing grows through future books. I am giving this book 5 stars because I thoroughly enjoyed it, but I think Frank is only going to get better in the future. I heard about this book through a post on author Colleen Hoover’s Instagram. It doesn’t disappoint. You love all of the characters for different reasons - they are all extremely mature and have relatable qualities. The added suspense was great, too! Can’t wait to read her future books!
