I've read a ton of zombie fiction, and there's a really consistent "walking dead" feeling to them. Realize the problem, adapt, survive. It would be doing a massive disservice to this author/book to say he followed the usual zombie formula.
I don't want to say too much to ruin the book, suffice to say it far outshines any other take on the genre.
My favorite book of 2017 so far, and just a pure joy to read (and that's coming from a guy who reads 1-2 novels a week).

J.G. Fletcher is a self-published, American author of fiction. He is a resident of Clarksville and alumnus of Austin Peay State University (APSU). He graduated with honors from APSU with a BS in Criminal Justice/Homeland Security and a MS in Management.
Fletcher has also been serving proudly in the Armed Forces since 2001. He is a Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
