An Angel and a Pair of Shoes is a delightful children's story with whimsical, colorful illustrations. It tells the tale about a new friendship between two young girls who meet on the beach. One claims to be an angel. Author Sunnie Day skillfully leaves the answer to the question, "Are the girls just playing or did they actively take flight?" open to interpretation, and regardless of which way the reader answers, the tale is wonderful and believeable.
This is a particularly good book for kids to read during summer vacation, but it also makes a great children's gift for birthdays or for the holidays. The book is also appropriate for preschool, kindergarten and early elementary education teachers to read to their students, or for librarians to read during story hour. I highly recommend it and think adults will enjoy the story as much as the kids they're reading it to, do!

A Must Have!
My daughters absolutely love this story! This story has become "the must read" before bedtime (every night for the past three weeks). Highly recommended and I look forward to Sunnie Day's next children's story.
