Giving to charity is easy at first, but beyond tithing to the local church and supporting favorite charities it can be a tremendous intellectual and practical challenge. Before reading "An Unexpected Legacy," I wasn't thoroughly educated on how to go about wise philanthropy. However, this book explains everything very clearly, and it accomplished this in an entertaining way. Mr. Schupra's conversations with Mr.Howe are fascinating, and from them I learned about everything from the giving strategies of Mr. Rockefeller and other famous philanthropists to the brilliant techniques of lesser known but equally conscientious donors. It only took me six hours to read this book, and I was reading at a leisurely pace. I feel the time was very well spent, and I have learned valuable strategies of generosity. I gave copies to all three of my sons and several friends as I want them to know these principles as well.
