Dani Reyes is an overworked graphic designer with dreams - her own business, her own dog, a boyfriend who doesn't suck - that never seem to be getting any closer.

Jake Owens is living his dream of running his family's apple orchard in rural Washington, but the off-and-on girlfriend he wanted to share it with just made it clear they're off for good.

When Jake hires Dani to build a new website for the orchard, she immediately falls in love... with his dog, Roxie. Jake may be stupidly hot, charming, and funny, but he's her client and she doesn't think he's over his gorgeous ex-girlfriend.

But then he rescues her from a seriously embarrassing run-in with her own awful ex, and now Dani can't stop thinking about him. Or the way he kisses.

Jake, on the other hand, is wary of jumping into a relationship with another woman who seems too busy with an all-consuming career to have time for him, no matter how irresistible he finds Dani's smile.
