I chose to read this book because I too am a caregiver and wanted to find out if others felt as I did during this journey. Bernita's insightful thoughts and words of wisdom definitely sets the standards of what caregivers go through; the anger, the guilt as well as the lonliness. I found that her words would certainly inspire those who are in this role and those who will be stepping into this role; as it is a hard role to travel.Thank you, Bernita for caring enough to share your walk with others so that they will not find themselves, hard-hearted, feeling guilty and/or walking alone. For those of you who have not read this book, please take the time to purchase it and take the opporunity to walk in the shoes of a caregiver. You will be quite surprised to find out the emotions that caregivers have. One you have finished the book, please feel free to tell others about the book so that they too may purchase it and prepare themselves for a journey not many would want to walk. Thank's again Bernita for sharing.

What a wonderful and insightful look into caregivers and caregiving. Most of us don't realize that one day, we too will be thrust into this role whether knowingly or unknowingly. The author Bernita Glenn has painstakingly given the readers what to expect and how to cope with the results using biblical references as her justification.

I am uncomfortable around people with illnesses. The basics make me nervous. I am afraid that I will say something wrong...afraid that I will have nothing to say at all. I have been pushing myself to seek opportunities to challenge that piece of me so that fear won't keep me from giving of myself. I am blessed to still have my mother with me but lost my father some years ago. As time goes by, the anxiety that comes with just thinking about my turn at "caregiving" is overwhelming at times. Reading the story of her journey has given me more confidence. I can't say that I am hardly ready for a role such as this but I know that another's experience can be a perfect guide in working through your own. Thank you for sharing.

This book was truly a gift, delivered to me at just the right time. The author did a wonderful job of encouraging, inspiring, and pointing the reader to the true source of Strength in the midst of great challenge and tender moments caregiving for loved ones. The very best writers make their readers feel understood, and that's what happened when I read Behind Every Dark Cloud: A Caregiver's Heart. Thank you, Bernita Glenn.

The author puts her feelings into what many take for granted about caregivers. I shared with other caregivers and they could not put the book down. The author gets high scores for writing what is a much need inspirational dose of support.
