In 2013, I was diagnosed with an inoperable, fast-growing, malignant brain tumor. I was given a month to live. This was not a good time to die! I was working on my second film, "Kings," a musical comedy about men who do burlesque. My daughter was still in high school. My husband was flying the high-tech coop and opening a barbecue restaurant. And my dear sweet mama was falling into the Alzheimer's canyon of doom. I had work to do here on Earth! What ensued is Brain Candy, the often funny, frequently scary, and occasionally sad story of life, love, laughs and survival.
