You could read this book without reading the first one, but I recommend you don't. This book continues the story of Abby the hybrid Dragon, and the first book sets up the scene for this second book so perfectly. Mystery abounds in this second book, which will have you guessing right up to the end. This is not the end of the series either. I'm so ready for the third installment of this series.
