Columbus' Unsung Voyages -Three Years Of Maritime Mayhem.
This story merges actual ship log entries made by Christopher Columbus on previous voyages, with both fictional and actual people, (Leonardo DaVinci), places and events that occurred around the world from 1502 to 1506; beginning and ending in Cadiz, Spain, a small drinking village with a fishing problem. The story is a humorous account about a trade war between Europe and Asia that starts when a dozen manned-rickshaws suddenly appear on the Cadiz pier, and Queen Isabella's retaliatory response; led by Columbus and his bizarre, multicultural officers and crew, as they encounter everything from the first Blue Man Group, religious terrorists, Barbarossa pirates, a tsunami, countless obstacles and problems. After you read it, you'll have a better understanding why Columbus' one-time global reputation was questioned in 1989, (three years before America was to celebrate the Cinquecentennial of his " discovering America"), and why six states now celebrate Indigenous People's Day, rather than Columbus Day.
