The Yusians are a non-humanoid biotech civilization that has been present on Earth for ten years. These so anxiously awaited ‘brothers in mind’, however, are subject of hatred, disgust and fear by the humans and no one yet understands how their senses and minds work. On a joint far space exploration project by the humans and the aliens, a team of seven people is sent to the planet Eyrena to establish a human colony. Several months later two members of the team are found dead. Arriving on Eyrena to investigate the case, DI Simon is met with hostility even by the human team. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, he has to find the strength to take risky and unprecedented in scale actions.
