Cyrus Persia’s story begins when Cyrus Persian who is a vampire arrives with his vampire wife Penelope in Houston, Texas. He is a businessman, the CEO, founder and President of Perse International Corporation. While sitting in the back of a limo on the way to his hotel, he begins to reminisce and to daydream about his pass life as a vampire. He remembers when he is a young Persian nobleman, he goes to war with King Darius of Persia to fight against the Scythians. He is wounded and left behind. He becomes a slave to and late is turned into a vampire by an exiled Egyptian priestess punished by her goddess Bastet and made the first vampire. The story continues when his status changes from Aahmas (Lydia)'s slave to become her so called adopted son and he finds love. He marries the Greek girl Penelope. Penelope longs for children, one day while she is worshipping at the temple of Aphrodite she hears a baby crying. She goes outside and finds twin boys in a basket. They are adopted, but seventeen years later tragedy happens when Demetrius is killed in a hunting accident. To save Dimitri his twin, he is turned into a vampire. Problems arise between Cyrus and his son, Dimitri leaves which causes anguish for Penelope and Lydia (ex-Egyptian priestess). He begins a campaign against the Romans and later becomes a vigilante against the Romans and other criminals, wanting to make the world a better place for all. Later Lydia becomes a Christian and she dies in the Roman arena. Cyrus and his family seek revenge. Many adventures occur, and later he helps the Persians drive the Romans from their country. The book ends when Cyrus and Penelope get on a plane heading for Florida to see his son Dimitri and their daughter-in- law Alexis.
