Let me start by saying that I absolutely loved reading this book. I am a dog lover, so this book caught my eye right away! Although I am a grown woman every so often I like to read a light-hearted children’s book.  This quick read was so uplifting, and I simply adored how “Prince the dog” narrates his letters in the book. How clever! All I could think about was how much my nephew, who is eleven, would also get a kick out of reading about a dog’s perspective on life, while learning new words, like veterinarian, disability and veteran. I cannot wait to give my nephew this book to read, he is going to fall in love with Prince, just like I did!  Prince is incredibly funny, and when reading about his adventures you will feel his raw emotion. He taught me a lot, I cannot wait to try giving my dog chicken soup ice cubes and I am going to try teaching my dog some of the commands Prince shares in the back of the book. I highly recommend this book for all ages, dog families, and elementary school teachers should be using it as a staple in their classroom. I am an active reader and I give this book 5 Gold Stars. And kudos for giving a portion of the book proceeds to helping our countries disabled veterans. I cannot say I have ever read a book that has that type of philanthropic interest. I look forward to the next Dear Mr. Albert book. You will be thrilled with your purchase of this book.
