Detaching Roots: Poetry and Prose
Detaching Roots extracts the pain that we all experience and bleeds it onto paper, spilling out words that everyone can understand. This book targets anyone who has dealt with the atrocities of life and faced most of them alone. It is divided into four sections: Detaching, Hurting, Healing, and Falling. Detaching Roots will take you on an emotional journey as you read this unfeigned collection of raw, and truly unfiltered, poetry.
Reviews
Alfa Holden, Author of I Find You in the Darkness and Abandoned Breaths

I read and review a lot of poetry, so I’m always excited when I come across a collection that stands out and makes me take notice.
The first thing that grabbed me as I thumbed through this book was the formatting, and while I know ‘how’ a book is put together is not indicative of the author’s talent, it does help me absorb the words more fully.
What can I say. I’m a Virgo... things like that impress me a bit. I love this author’s writing style and how her words vary from a delicate touch when needed but can quickly change to a throat punch you will never see coming.
Every poem is embedded with emotions that travel line to line and the book itself flows in a unique and satisfying river of a read.
I caught myself gasping out loud at a few -as I identified with every word.
And that’s how I knew that we are going to be hearing a lot more from this author in the future. She is that good.
Great buy!
