When caring and mild-mannered social worker, Sarah rescues a couple of kids from the ruins of the Divine Hotel, it sets off a chain of events that will reveal her true identity and mission in life. A mysterious man has been stalking her for years, and it's time to find out who he is and what he wants. She is charged with changing the history of the Divine Hotel and thereby changing the lives of many people connected with it and possibly changing a major historical event. How? A mysterious ring is the vehicle for these changes, but using it could have dangerous repercussions like those of the Butterfly Effect. Can she do it, can she even use the ring? Why was she chosen? Author Nicole Loughan doesn’t believe in being shy — at least when it comes to her creative work.

Start every story with a bang. I mean that literally.
When I first started writing I was given a book by Les Edgerton called “Hooked: write fiction that grabs readers at page one and never lets them go.” This book has been a touch stone for me for all of my subsequent novels. The purpose is to find the correct beginning for your book. He said many people make the mistake of picking the wrong start point, it’s boring or backstory, and in this day and age the ending has to pop right from the first line. Just like songs, books need a hook.
When one is stooped over a computer writing about murder, lies and betrayal sometimes it can be good to have company, like the international writer's organization Sisiter's in Crime.
