Jessie, a young autistic girl, has been kept neglected and isolated by her alcoholic father. She attends an all-girl catholic school where she is considered an odd ball. She is a musical prodigy, however, one of her many autistic abilities. A new Reverend Mother discover's Jessie's talent and teaches her to play the violin. After convincing her father to allow Jessie to perform in a zone concert, Jessie is discovered by a long lost aunt who has been searching for her.
