The read is a strong mix of hard science, action and suspense. The author's background in aviation and military service shine throughout the book and give it an authentic edge. The story takes place in the not too distant future and the story line contains the usual cast of bad guys. If you are looking for fleet actions, ground pounding, futuristic science fiction, this is not your cup of tea. If, however, you enjoy a crisp story, plenty of suspense mixed with page turning action presented against a hard science backdrop in a well edited format--this book does not disappoint.

Not your typical sci fi space opera. Well done, sadly plausible, and a lot of technical accuracy. Refreshing; I look forward to the next step in this saga.
