An abandoned sailing yacht in the Caribbean brings together three unanchored souls, drifting through life seeking hope and purpose. Firebird was constructed for a wealthy industrialist with dreams of sailing the world but sadly dies of a heart attack the day the boat is launched. Years later, the old ketch is about to be scuttled when Sam Berrenger rescues it, hoping for a fresh start to his own dead-end life. He is soon joined by a mother and her son, and together they strip away layers decay, revealing their own and Firebird's tragic history. It's a story of resurrection and second chances.
