This is a paranormal romance with a touch of suspense. This is the first book in the For Always series. This could be read as a stand alone, but I am buying the second book. I recommend this for any young adult, paranormal lover. This book is done in the point of view of several characters, but it is very detailed, not confusing at all. I was entranced from the first page, Beau is simply dreamy, I adore his mannerism. Nellie is the perfect definition of a grandmother. And I was so happy Malyn had the courage to follow her heart. My eyes were glued to my kindle, this is a definite page turner. This is the first book I have read of Janae Mitchell and she has earned a dedicated follower.

This is the story about sixteen year old Malyn Reed, she has been raised by her grandmama Nellie whom she adores. They are relocating and Malyn is very nervous because she has a special gift. Malyn can see and hear ghosts, she has for as long as she can remember. They are moving to Dandridge, Tennessee which is known for paranormal activity, but she is still excited about the new beginning. Upon arriving to her new home, Malyn is in for a huge surprise. Her grandmama failed to tell her that she would be encountering a ghost sooner than she expected. Be still my beating heart, she was captivated from the moment she laid her eyes on him.

Beau Brogan is a nineteen year old, town hero. Not only is he very handsome, he is also a true southern gentleman. But there is a catch... he is a ghost. Beau tragically passed away and did not move on, he has been stuck in the same place for too many years. He was used to people passing through his childhood home, and was surprised when the Reed's moved in. When he met Nellie, he knew she was not like the others. His world just got brighter especially when he saw her granddaughter.

This book was so good! It had me laughing, crying and even some OMG moments! This uniuqe story was well put together and had me wanting more. The main character goes through some strange things as a teenager and watching her attitude with it all was awesome. The grandmaw is hilarious and becomes such a big part of this story. I love reading about small tow a abs ghost stories. This is a different type of ghost story and it is amazing!!

What an awesome tale of impossible but the truest love! Most definitely a heart squeezing story. I don't read a lot of YA fiction but this story was exquisite. The backdrop of Dandridge was so visual I felt like I was there throughout the story. I could see the River where Beau tragically lost his life and the old creepily beautiful house that held him here in the temporal would. I could feel his joy and wonder when he laid eyes on Mayln. His love for Mayln and hers for him was so pure and sweet that I cried! I told my 15 year old daughter about this amazing love story and I intend on sharing it with her because it is definitely a beautiful love story worth sharing. I would love to see this turned into a movie because I would so love to see it become a visual piece of history! Thank you so much for sharing your visions and talents with us! ❤️
